They are out of the grand canyon that is Tiger Stadium. I expect the offense will do more damage in this series. Two very similar teams in very different places on their competitive arcs. I expect the Cubs to win this series.

The pitching matchups heavily favor the Phillies this series, but they're scuffling pretty hard right now so hopefully it's at least three more days before they right the ship

The Cubs offense has been a little Jekyll-and-Hyde the last few series. Not sure if that changes tonight against Wheeler, but it would be nice to see...

Yep, the last 3 losses have not been on the pitching.

I don't want to sound like a hater but the Cubs need to see more from Ian Happ.  It really seems like he can't do anything on offense besides draw a walk

He was so late on that 97 mph dick shot. Then tucker destroys the same pitch at the top of the zone

He can't do anything with a high fastball anymore.  I'm sure he will get hot at some point but, I really think that corner OF spot is an opportunity to make a great offense even better, in the off season

I doubt that they spend money. They'll make a competitive offer to Tucker that they'll be too embarrassed to disclose to the public and they'll promote whichever outfielder from Iowa they don't trade.

Tiny bit concerned with Happ still in the lead off. Nice to see PCA take the fourth spot however.

I like Happ but he's way too inconsistent.

I wouldn't be sad if they traded him in offseason with the year left on deal to make room for Caissie in LF.
