Thank god we left stiff ass turner out in the field so he could come bring his senior citizen swing speed to the plate against a guy throwing 112 mph

whew thank goodness counsell kept that bat in the lineup.

chances are cubs lose extra inning game of colin rea vs good relievers anyway, but counsell was really terrible.

didn’t let Nico steal ahead of the PCA bunt and left the 40 year old DH in the game defensively when the actual good defensive 1b had entered the game. woof.

how do we get one of these closers that pounds the zone in the high 90s

Jed is too busy looking for the next post-prime closer to sign or trade for, hoping for him to reclaim his glory days while saving Tom a few hundred bucks.

To be fair, that was a pretty good at bat from Turner.

But in the end, another really bad loss.

Is Turner incapable of playing 3B at this point?

Counsel screwed up and went with keeping the bat (Turner) in the game over putting his best defense ( Busch with Workman at 3B) out there in the 9th and a tied game.

the walks are fantastic but not enough SLG outside of tucker so far

Seiya had a .543 SLG coming into today and 4 HR, Dansby .512 SLG

you gotta love a coach who isn't afraid to double down on his bad decisions

Wait, why does this guy throw 100 and strikes? I assumed, based on our bullpen, it’s one or the other!

The Cubs organization’s insistence on stocking the bullpen with bat seeking nibblers has to change at some point, doesn’t it?

true but seiya also didn't have a hit this series

we need thunder from happ/pca/busch/shaw

im bitching because the approach makes it seem like we should cruise to having a top 5 offense
