As we gear up for another season of Cubs baseball, it's time to look at the community members who made North Side Baseball great over the winter.

Hello, Cubs fans! Twice a year, I sit down and find the most popular posts and blogs on North Side Baseball and their creators receive prizes for their contributions to the ever-growing NSBB. After a busy Cubs offseason, there was a lot to talk about. We look at the most popular posts and most popular blogs created by our users.

Let's dive into the most popular content of the offseason.

Most Popular Post
This is why I love modernizing legacy communities and keeping them going into their third decade. In this thread about the winter meetings, @UMFan83 dredges up an ancient thread from 2007 to illustrate a point. Talking about a trade for an entire 48 hours isn't a big deal when you have the memory of rumors lingering foreverrrrrrrr.

For this very enjoyable post, your prize is this very cool box of 1988 Topps cards! Will you pull something exciting like a prized... *checks notes*... Vance Law card? Let us know! In the meantime, private message @Brock Beauchamp your mailing address so I can ship this thing out to you!

Taking pot shots at other posters is always a good time. We generally frown upon it but also acknowledge it can be really fun. In this thread about whether NSBB should continue using Twitter links, @entbird79 makes a joke that went over very well with the community.

Sorry, you win no prize, just the accolades thrown your way by the community. Still, well done.

Most Popular Blog Post
@ryanrc was busy over the winter, blogging like crazy. Their most popular entry was "How good is Michael Busch?", gathering hundreds of reads in January. Thanks for all the contributions, Ryan! Please accept our gift of a Seiya Suzuki bobblehead! Private message @Brock Beauchamp and let me know your mailing address so I can get this over to you!

If you feel the need to write long-form Cubs content, start your own blog on NSBB! It's open and available to all community members.

Most Prolific Poster
You know the type. They're always here. They're always posting. They're usually snarky af.

They're the prolific posters. Over the winter, no poster on NSBB garnered more reputation points than @Sammy Sofa. This likely comes as a surprise to absolutely no one here. Sammy, you win no prize for this, just our enduring gratitude that we are allowed to breathe the same air as you.

That's all we have for the offseason, everyone! Once again, thank you to all the members of this community who keep it vibrant and hopping 365 days a year. And here's to a successful campaign for the 2025 Cubs!

Wow I'm honored.  It took 18 years but finally the Brian Roberts offseason obsession pays off!  Thanks @Brock Beauchamp and all those that contribute articles, posts and moderation for another great year on NSBB.

Thanks for the award!

Most high-quality sports conversations are hidden deeply behind paywalls. This site is a real hidden gem, as are the top writers here.

Although my family hails from Illinois, I've lived all over the east coast. Currently I reside in Atlanta, where there are about 3 Chicago-themed sports bars in the greater metro, serving about two million locals in theory - in practice, a few hundred locals and a few thousand random out-of-town visitors.

If my job situation results in a longer stay, I will be promoting a North Side meetup at Black Bear Tavern in north midtown to cover recent news and highlights, and teach beginners about WAR, Statcast analysis, pitching/hitting strategies, and other metrics. It would be feasible to promote a small club with regular news briefs from this site. Wouldn't that be fun!

It would! Let me know if I can assist in any way!
