Id like to see him take over full time once Boog contract is over, but I'm glad they finally settled into one person and it him to do it now.

Absolutely.  Hopefully they are grooming him to eventually assume the full time gig.  I have no idea what Boog's intentions are, but it doesn't feel like he's a guy that will stick around forever.  Could he have already told them he's going to be moving on at some point and this is Marquee getting a jump start on filling that role?  Who knows!

This is good news, that said I dislike the cast of characters behind JD far more than the ones behind Boog.  So I'd love some consolidation there.  Keep it to Dempster with the occasional Elise Menaker and lock Sutcliffe in a cellar somewhere?

Bloody hell, this is awesome. Listening to Joe Girardi, Ryan Dempster and Rick Sutcliffe 3-4 times a week for weeks at a time was like extracting teeth without novacaine.

Yeah, JD seems much more unlikely to get a consistent back-up.  I'm sure we'll still get the Dempster, Sutcliffe, Girardi, et al rotation.
