If we trade Paredes, I'm going to want to sign someone who is 3B capable.

But Shaw would be my opening day starter. I'd shield him a bit on matchups, but I'm greedy. I want the draft pick if he ends up winning ROY. At least give it a chance to happen.

Yeah, I definitely want a LHH handcuff for Shaw if he were to be the OD 3B.

Right now, and it only gets worse with Paredes sent out, this team is really light on RHH power.  Player-wise Bohm + Castellanos makes a lot of sense but financially I don't really see any way to make it work without just going "welp, this here is the pitching staff I guess."

Framework of Bellinger for Bohm/Castellanos is a wash money wise. I know we're trying to spend Bellinger's $$$ elsewhere, but trading for a cost controlled SP is still on the table at some point.

Hot take: Bohm may be Smith’s floor. Both make a ton of contact for jumbo athletes capable of occupying 3B, first round college bats, hit too many GBs. These rumors seem busy for busy’s sake

You're especially all over the place today

What's the story on Bohm's defense?  Bad and then turned a corner last year?  Still bad and it was a metrics blip (last year is the first year he's not had a negative defensive WAR per BR)?

Hmmm I thought Bohm was due closer to $15M.  Still though We're talking ~$12M available once Kelly becomes official to add a SP, a RP, and a reserve IFer.  The latter I guess you can punt to a kid (Workman presumably) but that's still tough.
