Are we getting the Phillies' hangover lineup tonight?  Or does the fact that they could still technically lose the bye (plus the fact that it's a night game) keep this game more normal?

Hangover lineup I would imagine.

Probably going to see an absurd amount of noodling with those last few spots in the bullpen the rest of the week.

Funny to think Paredes was in the Brewers locker room showering his teammates with champaign after clinching the division last week and now he's on the Cubs after roster playing out the string.

The Phillies clearly joined the ranks of the pitching development enlightenment sometime in the '22 to '23 neighborhood.  But you look at Taijuan Walker and it's basically like this meme

But with like 12 of the scary dragons and then Walker on the right just putzing away

If you showed me a picture of Nick Castellanos when he was on the Cubs and a picture of him today, I wouldn’t know you were showing me a picture of the same person.

The Cubs have clinched their 8th non-losing season in their last 10 seasons.  If they win 1 more game thats 8 winning seasons in their last 10 seasons.

The last time the Cubs accomplished this?  1937-1946

These low 80 win seasons are not acceptable, neither is only making the NLDS 3 times in those 8 seasons, but still a notable achievement given the Cubs historical lack of success.

If the Cubs go 1-3 they have a winning season

2-2 to match last year's record

3-1 to top last year's record

4-0 to have their most wins since their last full season playoff appearance in 2018.

Saw they clinched a .500 record, should have popped some champagne for that. Thats all Ricketts is shooting for

That's about all Hoyer is shooting for if you dig into his latest comments on the season. He brought up how last year mid 80s wins got you a wildcard spot, so they planned for the same this year, but it's going to end up around 90 wins.

Talking about wildcard games when he should be talking about division titles.

Love watching PCA run, when he pops a bunt over the pitchers' head, why does an infielder even attempt a throw to 1B?  Most especially with runners on base.
