I got extremely lucky a couple of years ago, I used to call in and wait online to get tickets, but then a sales rep I worked with has a group of buddies that go in on three different sets of season tix and they were looking for another person to purchase part of the season tix. I usually get about ten sets of tix every summer, and even got two of the Yankee games when they were in town. Although I live 2.5 hours away it is so worth it.

I've got an interesting dichotomy going. one computer has 36 firefox windows open. they're working fine. The other has 20 IE windows open. None of them are restarting the timer.

Bill Gates can eat it.

It's the opposite for me right now, although it seems to be going back and forth.

So much for celebrating my 21st birthday at Wrigley this year.

What day is your B-day?

Hang in there. Good seats are still available. After an hour and 20 minutes of at least 56 windows I just got through for 6 bleacher tickets to Sunday White Sox.

Next year we should have two threads, one to gloat and one to complain about not getting through. It would be much more enjoyable for those of us that can't get through.

We don't have to wait till next year. Playoffs!

(er, and maybe dugout and bullpen seats, as well)

I have about 60 windows open right now, so that probably helps. For some reason if I get up to 70 my computer locks up. Last year I had over a hundred open at once. It seems like the vwr are running smoother with the 30 sec. countdowns since the Red Sox games sold out.

Jon, do you have a link to that one page that shows pictures of Wrigley from every seating section?

Seatdata.com

I grabbed 6 good UD reserve seats for the June 10th game about 10 minutes ago. I passed up on four bad UD box seats and thankfully it paid off. Now if I can only get this ticket request for a Cardinals game to go through. When it does, it says that I already have tickets for that game.

29 VWRs, and nothing yet - bad luck?

I've been calling and vwr for 2 hours now and nothing...

3 computers VWR, got through 7 times

Wow. I'd be careful walking down the NSBB dark alleys today talking about that. Congrats!

is anyone else having an issue with online? I have gotten in twice gotten tickets and then when it comes time to purchase my tickets it is just giving me the box for the credit card number, where I would put in the expiration date and delivery type no box is appearing.... this is extremely frustrating and I have missed out on 2 games now.

That happened to me once two years ago when I got Yankees tickets. I think you'll just have to keep on trying to reload. Some of the boxes haven't loaded this year, as well.

Dangit. I figured out why it's doing that. I had selected Red Sox tickets in that window but cancelled them. I ended up getting different Red Sox tickets in another window, but it's still making me go back to the VWR. ARGH.

actually i got through 8 times but lost a window. it really seems like its feast or famine, i think the system gets bogged down and few people get through and then a ton get through

UGH!

I have three different computers going at once, all with fairly large screens, so at one point I had around over 300 windows open at once. But the damn counters took too long, so now I restarted with only around 50 open. Still sucks because I can't get any tickets.

I hate the VWR. I'm really thinking I just won't get in. :'(

EDIT: Macs are excellent for this. They have a feature called Expose which will take all the windows in a certain application, and make them all really small, so you can see them on your screen at one time. All I have to do is hit F10 to do this. And, if I put my mouse over the window it says what it is like, "Virtual Waiting Room". I just wish the dang thing would let me in. Think of all the brokers using like supercomputers to try to get in. :(

Don't mean to brag but i just added to my impressive repetoire of games by adding 4 bleacher tickets to the 8/28 marlins game where ryno is gettin number 23 retired...

I guess this makes up for 2003 when i was trying to get playoff tix and i got through the VWR and selected 4 tickets best available. 4 werent available together and it kicked me back into the waiting room instead of allowing me to try again with a lesser quantity.
