McGowin with another 7k/0bb in 5ip, too. He did give up a HR in this one, but I second the nomination of him going to Iowa to take Teheran's place.

I'd be very curious to know the Cubs' internal evaluation of Shaw's defense at third base so far. Error wise it seems totally fine but obviously there's more to the story than that

I kind of wonder if part of the Bote calculus was opening up those infield PA's in Iowa.  I wouldn't be shocked at all if Shaw was promoted for Tueaday.

Isn’t he 31 or 32 years old? Not exactly someone to get excited about.
