Watching these guys hit is frustrating...

Hoerner. 275 and Tauchman. 283 are the only hitters on this roster with average over .260 🙄🙄

9 are under .240

Eventually these guys are gonna go off, im guessing in Pittsburgh

Maybe the 2nd and 3rd games. Doubt they’ll tee off on Jared Jones but maybe he’s due to regress.

I don’t disagree with the overall frustration, but a ton of that is just the modern version of baseball. League average is .239. For as much of the season as this slump has seemed to occupy, we’re three points below average.

having said that, nothing about this dudes numbers predicted this, and I just turned the game on right after the belli home run to watch him dotting edges all over the place. Very frustrating.

That the frustrating part, a few of these guys are a whole lot better then what they're doing and team wise they should be much much better then below the average.

Just shows how good the SP has been for them to have 21 wins now

PCA has 2 or 3 games left before going back to Iowa for Suzuki return.

Hopefully he takes all what he's learned and works on it for when he returns for good

At this point I'm not sure a Cy Young award is enough for how good Shota clearly is. The MLB will have to invent a new, more prestigious award to fully encapsulate Shota's brilliance.

I wonder how long until the Cubs pick up his option to extend this to five years.

Is there any benefit to doing it earlier?
