Madrigal being late on that 3-1 fastball down the middle is frustrating.  The guy offers nothing with the bat if he can't put a good swing on that.

I got a kick out of Boog saying,  one thing about Madrigal he will make contact up there, yea but it mostly hitting balls on the ground at someone 🙄

Cold bats, bad defense not a good combination to win games

Didn’t know the Mets bullpen has the best ERA in baseball, they couldn’t hit Manea I doubt they hit anymore tonight unfortunately…

the sheer number of games that swanson has caused them to lose during his brief time here is wild

He could use a couple games off, unfortunately though the team can't afford to sit  regular now with a couple guys already out.

Yeah, who would they play? Madrigal at second? I’d still rather have Swanson. Kind of damned if you do, dammed if you don’t.

Morel is actually a 2B

I dont know what you do with Adbert at this point. Seemed like he was right on track for rebuilding his confidence in lower leverage situations. This is probably the highest leverage inning he’s pitched in since the demotion and he botched it.

Yeah I can’t even remember the last time they were shut down by a Mets starter and then scored three runs late off their bullpen

There's just something wrong with Adbert mechanically right now. It doesn't look like it's a release point thing, but there's something that's not allowing him to get to the far side of the plate (for Adbert).

Right, if Bellinger and Suzuki were there then you could get away with it.

Ya yesterday I know, but don’t act like this doesn’t happen to them often.

They are 7th in runs as a team and Saturday was the first time all year they got shut out. Whatever your definition of ‘often’ is, I’m very much a believer that it isn’t ’disproportionately often’

also, separately, Dansby has been pretty comfortably our best player since the day he signed. Think he deserves a little more leeway before we bench him for Nick madrigal

alright, going to try and be done with me doing me things. Go cubs.

Adbert has given up a HR to 9.3% of the batters he's faced this year.  The saddest thing about that is that it seems lower than I thought.
