I feel bad for Bryant on multiple levels.

There are $182 million reasons not to feel bad for him at all.

Brown needs to get a little action on his FB. Velocity is great but it’s straight as arrow.

He's ranged from 10-16 inches of vertical break and anywhere from 4-13 inches of arm side run.

Also should be noted the extreme angle of which he throws his fastball. His release point on the fastball is a one-of-one. Hitters should simply have a harder time picking up on it because it's so awkward of a position.

His curve really is something else. He's consistently breaking them off with 40+ inches of vertical break with <=3 inches of horizontal. A true 12-6 hammer curveball. Oh, and he's doing that at 85 miles an hour.

The Craig Counsell era is not bad at all.

Certainly looks great against the Rockies!

Next 19 games will be a great test (LAD, SD, SEA, ARI, MIA, HOU), though I’m sure they’ll hold their own

If Brown stays in the rotation,  his next 3 opponents will be @SD @AZ  Home  Miami.

By then I'm guessing Taillon could be back or close to it

Just being at or above 500 at the end of that stress would be great.

Yep. Brown is clearly still a work in progress, but man, he's a pure unicorn. We're so used to "funk" being associated with guys like Imanaga, who throw like 92 mph, or "below average", we forget that guy who throw 97mph can be funky too.

Not watching....how is Seiya hitting dongs into the teeth of the wind like this?

He found a lost bottle of Sammie's Flintstone Vitamins in the clubhouse 😅😅😅

Yeah, still very early into the year. Some big tests coming up, which I am looking forward to seeing how they handle them.

he's hitting the ball at 115 & 105 miles an hour at lower launch angles that aren't as exposed to the wind

He’s on my opponents fantasy team. That is definitely helping him!

I'm playing fantasy baseball with a handful of my students; it's a good way to build rapport and have a good time at school when we're not learning about history (I teach middle school). Now, it's unfair, considering the talent gap here, but I also don't care and enjoy flexing on my boys. They let me get way with snapping up Seiya deep in the draft and Imanaga on the the last pick. Fools.
