This is an issue with fields being the QB going forward. Get some pressure on him and he stops seeing the field, starts taking off early or does the deer in headlights thing and gets sacked.

sobering reminder of what we have

He was making the right throw there. He had Moore 1 on 1 going towards the back of the end zone. If Evans gives him any kind of actual block he gets that throw off.

Yeah not picking on that specific play but just in general. Feels like he’s going back to the mode where he’s anticipating pressure and missing targets downfield. Granted if the line could block for him it would be different but lots of QBs can play well with pass blocking

Deflating INT in FG range and the defense has their worst drive of the game and the Vikings will have a 6 point lead and the ball to start the 3rd.

Pressure is getting to him

I mean he needs to throw the horsefeathers ball

otoh maybe he couldn’t because his shoulder or elbow is messed up which doesn’t reflect well on the coaches being on top of the details

That’s what I mean about pressure getting to him. He’s getting indecisive and which is what seems to happen when he’s under frequent pressure

They fooled him bad showing blitz and then dropping back, and he went back to his old "hop hop hop hop" mode.

He's never played a full, healthy season and with his playstyle he may never. Worth including as a factor in considering his future.

Saw lots of good stuff from fields the last 2 weeks but also reminded that he was playing 2 of the 5 worst defenses in the league and the line was able to block for him.

At least the Panthers keep sucking. Poles has quite a decision to make.

They're going full scorched-earth fire sale in the next few weeks. Hard to imagine that pick isn't a strong favorite to be 10A.
