I expect him to go 5.2 with 2 runs on 5 hits and a walk as Hendricks gives up 3 bombs and goes 4.1 and gives up 5 runs

No one in the WC race is lighting the world on fire. Sure, the Cubs are 4-6 over their last ten, but all the teams chasing them are 5-5 or 6-4 in that span.

Another 4-6 versus others going 6-4 and they are out. They need to start playing better. At the very least they need 5-3 the next 8. If not, I don’t see them making it.

I don’t think they make the playoffs now with them losing all the tiebreakers outside of SF. 
They really looked like a team that’s hit a massive wall . With that said it’s been a fun year anyway . Didn’t think they would be playing important games this late into the season .

It depends on how well this cold streak lasts.  The way this team has gone they could easily flip a switch and go 8-2 and looking like playoff locks.  They are playing bad but baseball teams dont play bad forever.  Get through this weekend 1-1, get another off day and then on paper a really easy homestand. I'd rather be in our position than the other teams.

Baseball is just a really weird sport, you look terrible one day or for a few days and all of the sudden things click again.  Doesn't make sense to make predictions of doom or prosperity.

(See this is pre-game rationality before irrational UMFan gets emotionally invested in a game)

Yea, cubs will probably back into a WC spot, theyll probably take 4 of 6 between the Pirates and Rockies next week,  and their chances against the Braves and Brewers will likely come down to if either teams need to win those games or rest their regulars.

Davies would have been a good starter for PCA to go against (lower velocity). But Ross gonna Ross.

Amaya, Wisdom,  Mastrobuoni,  Canairo, and PCA, Ross will mainly use Almora and Wisdom  as alternate starters, while the other 3 will basically be used to PR, bunt, or defense when needed.
