The kid can hit, but my god, he's just entirely unplayable on the field and the bat just isn't big enough to warrant the positions he's going to be forced into.

I don't think we know any of that just yet. Plenty of prospects find their power later than expected. We are still looking at a kid who was drafted out of HS 2 years ago and posted an excellent BBK this year. He showed a significant improvement in his FB rate at A+ as well. He's got a couple years to hone in the defense.

Then again he feels like a ripe trade chip anyway.

Jose Romero, what do we know?  He's short, he isn't young (22), he's K'd a lot of guys in low minors.  Any stuff that's worth tracking, or just a roster-filler?

Cubs: Jose Romero, RHP
Signed for just $10,000 out of Venezuela in 2020, Romero has become one of the better relief prospects in the Cubs system. He compiled a 2.77 ERA, .193 opponent average and 68 strikeouts in 48 2/3 innings in Single-A while displaying a 93-95 mph fastball and solid slider

Tbf my understanding is he’s a living breakout just biding his time

And you wonder why I and others make comments about your unique prospect choices. I do respect your opinions, but it is posts like these that lead to sarcasm coming your way.

Triantos had 16 errors in 83 games during the regular season. He has 3 so far in 5 games in the AFL (that would work out to 50 in 83 games). I imagine he won't keep committing this many errors in the AFL.

That said, he's clearly struggling more at 2B than 3B (though he's newer to the position).
