UGLY UGLY game vs. Nets.

 

Hinrich and Gordon were the only ones who came to play.

 

 

But holy crap!! Ben Gordon is unfrickenbelievable! I don't get to see so many games, but his shooting was unconcious. Wow.

I have to say, Paxson is really regaining my faith in this organization. I have not really watched all that much Bulls basketball since the end of the 1998 season and am still a little mad at the way things ended. However, this is the first time that I enjoy rooting for since the Jordan era.

 

I have always loved Hinrich, back to the days when he was playing at Kansas. Gordon has really impressed me with his play lately. The game today shows what a great player he is and how important he is to this team. As soon as he fouled out of the game, the whole thing fell apart. I think that Ben is going to become one of the better guards in the league. The two big fellas are also starting to play like their draft picks would indicate. Curry is actually playing like he belongs in the NBA. I also think that Deng is going to mature into a good player. He is one of those players that was just understands how to play the game.

 

I think that in a year or two, this team will be contending in the playoffs for a while. They are the youngest team in the league, if I am not mistaken, and are loaded with players with a large amount of upside. They sort of remind me of the Bears defense in a way but the Bears can't score so that doesn't really make a difference.

 

Anyways, I am going to my first Bulls game since 1997 on Janurary 10th and I am really looking forward to it. It's been a while since I have been this excited about the team.

Well, after 2 disappointing losses after the 5 game win streak, the Bulls came to play vs the Magic. Curry had another good game, so did Gordan, Deng, and Hinrich. The final was 105-90 with Curry getting 22 and 8 boards. Hinrich had 18 w/ 9 assists. Deng had 15 with 7 boards, and Gordan had I believe 16. The Bulls were up 60-37 at the half :shock:

Good game. Yay Bulls. 8 boards for Curry is the best news, imo.

 

I agree. Also Deng shooting 60% is great news. If he can average 12 pts. 7 rbs. 3 ast. this year, then he will be the piece that pulls the team together. It wasn't a coincidence that the Bulls lost the last two games when Deng was in a mini-slump.

What I find most amazing is how high he gets on his jumpers and other shot. Kid's got hops. I keep thinking this little guy is going to get blocked but he doesn't. I have really been impressed with him; he has won me over - I no longer wish we had drafted Igoudala instead.

Bulls playing the Pistons tonight at home. Looks like our fellow NSBB'ers wont get to watch Curry play tonight as he has the flu. Bulls have started out on a 8-0 run though.

Deng, Hinrich, and Gordan all having good games. Hinrich is shooting the ball real well tonight, and Deng's outside shooting has been impressive. See my above post about Gordan, thats how I feel about him right now. Bulls arent turning the ball over tonight, announcers seem to think its because Curry is not in there. I think they have 3 and they are nearing the end of the 3rd quart.

Those tickets were a pain to get a hold of though. You basically had to buy them through a broker. I remember for a couple years in a row I was basically calling in non-stop for 3-4 hours and never got through. The two times I went, my aunt gave the tickets to me as a present and had to get them through a co-worker that had season tickets for the longest time. It was pretty sweet though... :)

Bulls are up 25-18 at the end of the 1st quarter against the New Orleans Hornets. Hinrich has 10 1st quarter points. The Hornets folks, are BAD!
