I really wanted Iggy as well. I was terribly upset at the Gordon pick. Outside of Allen Iverson, how many undersized two guards are real successes on winning teams? I can't really think of any. And I think we should all be applauding John Paxson. While other teams were throwing around ridiculous amounts of money in the offseason, Pax had the opportunity to lock up the twin toddlers to extensions while other guys from the 01 draft were getting big paydays (Kirelenko, Randolph, and Jason Richardson, what the hell is GS thinking giving Richardson that 70 million?). And with the NBA renogotiating the CBA, the max value may be diminished as well as the mid level exception, and Pax can possibly sign them to lower, more cap friendly deals next summer if they can prove themselves worthy this year.

Question: is the trade we made with Phoenix for the 7 pick involve our first rounder next year, or is lottery protected for a couple of years?

I am guessing everyone has given up on Chandler?

I haven't, he's just a small #4 or a big and slower #3 who hasn't developed enough offensively to become a major factor. Much of that is because of injuries, but I would like to see him progress.

Fair enough. Living on the West Coast, I only get to see the Bulls when they play the Clippers or Lakers and otherwise just get to see the box scores, so I really don't have a good idea.

What makes most of you more excited about Curry, who really hasn't come anywhere near living up to his potential either?

Posted
He has shown more glimpses, the year before last, he had a great second half. Also, in the Eastern Conf. (minus Shaq) there are no legit Cs capable of stopping Curry when playing well. Curry also has lost a significant amount of weight and is much more developed offensively than Chandler, while being able to stay healthy.

Now Curry has to get his ass in gear and do it for 82 games. He wants to play like a top flight center, he better play like it for a whole season.

Going to a game tonight for the first time since '98. Would be nice to see them get their first win with Curry and Davis back.

The Bulls are undefeated when I've been there, though. :)

Anybody know if the game tonight is on TV?IF so is it on WGN or Comcast? thnks

Comcast.

Arrgh, if mediacom doesnt hurry up and pick up comcast they are seriously goin to force me into directTv or dish. Just dont know if I can get the gf to agree with that with a newborn.

Curry was abysmal last night. It's like the guy has absolutely no court sense. He goes where he's told to go in practice, and then can never adapt to the situation.

Every time he was out on the floor last night, the Suns made a run.

I think Directv either made the mistake of not blacking out the game on comcast for out of towners, or they were providing a little tease for those people who didn't buy the NBA league pass because I was able to see the game last night but no others from outside the NY area.

The Bulls are badbad.

Gordon is a waste, the Bulls failed with two tweener 1slash2 guards with Williams and Crawford, why pick another one? Iguodala is so much better, it isnt even funny.

i have no idea why they took ben gordon. in college, he was babied by calhoun. in the pros, i doubt that skiles has any intention of coddling him in that way.

we could have had iguodala and deng, 2 huge building blocks that appear to be nba ready.

As the Bulls fall lower and lower, there is talk of trading Chandler or Curry to the Nuggets for Nene. Thoughts?

How has Nene done? I have followed little NBA since MJ retired, besides the Bulls and some playoff action, so I really don't know.

I got my first chance to see the Bulls this year when they lost to the Lakers on Sunday. They look like a really scrappy bunch. I love Hinrich and Deng.

has some defensive and rebounding potential but no real offensive promise.

i'd say his ceiling would be pj brown.

Thanks, Sulley. I'd say the Bulls could use a player like him, but they also need another scoring threat, imo.

I honestly don't know what we can get for Curry, but since he's a FA, I'd have no problem going for Nene if it's the best we can get for Curry.

The problem with this team is Chandler and Curry. They continue to not step up. IF the bulls had a constant inside presence, they would be around .500 right now. But they don't. Get rid of these guys for someone, anyone who gives the bulls a constant inside presence.

Also, Ben Gordon has shown signs of becoming an amazing player.

Having watched more Nuggets games than I care to, Nene is a pretty good player. He's not a scoring PF, but he can rebound and is actually built for the position (unlike Chandler). A PJ Brown-Charles Oakley type of PF is pretty accurate, more athletic though.

I think it's not a bad trade of Chandler for Nene. Heck, I'd trade Curry to some team for a SG right after that. Curry to Phoenix for Joe Johnson, draft pick and filller. A 1 through 4 of Hinrich, Johnson, Deng/Noicini, and Nene with Gordon as a Bobby Jackson type combo guard sixth man is the right nucleus to build around, IMO. I haven't watched as many games of the Bulls now that they're not on WGN, but that's my plan.
