The fact that the Wendle at bat had to start 1-0 is just dumb. Be better baseball.

I get that there needs to be a penalty or else the timer is meaningless, but I think too many at bats are starting 1-0 or 0-1.  It is not the rarity that I expected it to be. Maybe there needs to be an adjustment to the rule between batters.

Through yesterday there were 356 violations of any type at any time in 503 games.

Dammit. More Manfred Man baseball. I seriously don’t even want to watch extra innings because of the rule

I used to go out of my way to watch extra inning games if I saw one was happening but I just flat out will not watch one that isn't the Cubs. A small protest but still.

Same here. It's not any sort of protest from me, but I just don't enjoy it.  I used to see extra innings games and think "let's see how far this will go." Now I know it's going to be over in an inning or two, and usually anticlimactically.

Yeah I just don’t find it very entertaining. I’m not a traditionalist at all and don’t mind changes to the game but this particular one makes the game worst imo

The bunt killed me. Why are you giving up an out?  Sure a runner on 3rd and 1 out is a good situation to be in, but i just don’t agree with it.

When you only need one run, you're more likely to get it, especially with a good contact hitter waiting behind Wisdom that will be hitting against a drawn in infield.  There's risk that he doesn't actually get it down so it's not automatic, but it was a great bunt that validated he can handle the bat in such a situation.

Normally I would agree, but with Wisdom having a 50% chance of striking out there, I have no problem with the bunt.

Isn’t that one of the rare situations where it’s at least semi-justifiable stats wise to bunt? You only need one run to win the game so there is benefit to getting the guy to third.
