Last night was a hit party

i-think-you-should-leave-tim-robinson-da

Now today it's an early weekday day game, so get everything you need done in the AM

giphy.webp

We've got Marcus Stroman going for the Cubs

giphy.webp

And Hunter Greene going for the Reds. He's the hardest throwing starter in baseball

So the Reds must usually win when he's on the mound, right?

Go Cubs

Yeah, I'm not generally a fan of Madrigal over Wisdom. But Wisdom is a limited player, and Madrigal might be a bit more reliable in this instance.

That said, I probably would have still started Wisdom and just been more open to pinch-hitting Madrigal for him in a situation where it's important to put wood on the ball.

Ooh, I didn't realize Hunter Greene was starting today. I have a slightly morbid curiosity in watching whether he ever puts his stuff together into a cohesive whole.

I think he had some shoulder problems in the second half last year, but his final eight starts of the season were really good.

He's a guy I wish the Cubs would target in trade deal. I'd love to see what Hotvy could get out of him.

I'm wondering if this game is going to happen. If they're going to cancel they might as well do it now so they Cubs can get on the plane after the tornado warning is lifted.

Yeah it looks pretty crappy all day.  Getting the same 3 straight days of thunderstorms and rain that we are getting.

It's not going to be through there until like 8 EDT and the Reds play at 3 EDT tomorrow in Philly.  I'd be surprised if they try to play at all today.

Does this work for FG too?

Schedule isn't unbalanced anymore, that's the only other trip to Cincy.

Oh yeah, I knew about the more balanced schedule, it just hadn't clicked that teams only face divisional opponents twice at home, twice on the road.

Still kind of imbalanced though.  12-14 games against divisional opponents and 6-7 against intraleague opponents (I don't think that changed at all did it?).  The interleague is somewhat balanced though.

Yeah that's fair, *as inbalanced* would have been more accurate.
