So are those the only pitchers going today? Or is it those six plus situational/not set yet in the later innings?

I'd guess it's just those 6, but as starters Stro, Sampson, and Elias each go two?

Extremely early take on the pitch clock...

I like it, but I don't like seeing it. Hopefully we get used to it, but right now I find it really distracting to the broadcast.

I just came here to say the exact same thing

Pitch clock - as a fan, I'm a fan. We'll have to see what the long term impact is on things like pitcher health

Now the camera angle isn't showing the clock at all. I wonder if they are still experimenting with how to present it.

Gonna have to drink fast at the old ball park to get a buzz on this year
Yeah, I think I really like the improved pace of play as a TV viewer, but I'm not sure what it will do to the "day at the ballpark" experience. Especially with kids and running back and forth to the bathroom and concessions, the game could go by really fast.

Why does it feel like Bellinger is Jason Heyward with more swing and miss? I’m sure there are a number of reasons why that silly but when he’s up there and swinging I get a similar vibe

Last year I went to a few minor league games and it was noticeable. The between innings was the most notable thing at the games. The games flew by.

I’m so glad this stupid new rule is going to cost MLB/teams money with food/beverage/merch sales at games if they are truly going to be ~30 min shorter. That’s not an insignificant amount of time of lost sales over 81 games, plus fans may be less likely to make a food/drink run knowing there’s less time to do it in game with quicker action between pitches.

Personally I think I'll be much more likely to get food elsewhere before or after the game and minimizing concessions at the ballpark.

Going to invest in the Nathan For You chili contraption to sneak in booze and food to games.

What about 1 warning in the 8th or 9th? I’m fine with the clock but don’t want a game to end on it,
I was thinking along those same lines. Or even a "mulligan" that can be used once per game. I suppose the logistics of triggering that mulligan may be a problem though.

Extremely hot take: I really like Mervis’s approach at the plate. Two walks today already, not chasing, looking for his pitches. I think he’s going to the starter before the end of the season.
