On Twitter they are saying his pre-snap read was wrong and he didn’t anticipate the safety dropping back. Which makes sense but there were like 3-4 SF players closer to the ball than Mooney

He just totally missed seeing the underneath zone coverage. Or he completely whiffed on the touch to get it over the guy.

I don’t really care. This is a rebuilding year. Give Fields a chance to develop or show that he’s not the guy
