Guess what an idiot with an incredibly successful 22 year sports career did this time

If Tom Brady was a franchise he'd be tied for the 3rd most playoff wins ever with 35, trailing only the Patriots (37) and Steelers (36). For comparison purposes, the Bears have 11 playoff wins. He also has more Super Bowl wins than any individual franchise.

Heck just since turning 40 this is how he would fare all-time:

TD Passes (168) - 74th - More than Troy Aikman, Joe Theisman, Roger Staubach and Bart Starr had in their entire careers - Would be most in Bears history

Passing Yards (22,938) - 92nd - Would be 505 yards behind Cutler for most in Bears history

Super Bowl appearances (3) - 10th - More than the Bears entire history

Super Bowl wins (2) - 5th - More than the Bears entire history

Playoff wins (9) - 15th - 2 less than the Bears entire history

Heck, Tom Brady had 3 400 yard passing games just last season at age 44, which is 1 less than the Bears have had in the entire history of their franchise.

As much as I was meh on Brady today's the end, there are so many eye-popping stats you can throw out there about his career. I don't think we'll see another player with the type of career he had in a long time. As much as I was ready for him to stop dominating football, I'm a little disappointed we won't be able to see how much longer he could play at a high level

What a bizarre story that ties all the Offseason storylines across the league together

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/04/07/tom-brady-was-very-close-to-officially-joining-the-dolphins-initially-as-an-owner/

When Tom Brady retired on February 1, his next move already was coming into focus. Per multiple sources, Brady eventually would have been introduced as a minority owner of the Dolphins. The announcement would have been made as soon as the following week, which was the week that preceded the Super Bowl.

When we reported on February 28 that the Dolphins had planned to pursue a Sean Payton/Tom Brady package deal, the Dolphins privately acknowledged that they had contacted the Saints about the possibility of hiring Payton. As to Brady, the Dolphins privately acknowledged that there had been discussions about Brady becoming a minority owner of the team.

Then came the Brian Flores lawsuit. Filed (coincidentally or not) the same day Brady retired, the litigation resulted in the plug being pulled on the Payton/Brady plan.

After Brady became a minority owner, the Dolphins would have indeed acquired the contractual rights to employ Payton from the Saints. Then, the Dolphins would have at some point gotten the rights from the Buccaneers to bring Brady to the roster.

That's wild. So, I'm guessing there is some truth to the Brady/Arians rift as well. Funny that Brian Flores, who didn't want Tua at all, kind of indirectly saved his NFL career. Would have been tossed aside but instead they turned the picks & money for Payton/Brady into Tyreke Hill and Terron Armstead to better support Tua. This is like the season finale episode of a fictional TV sports drama.
