I'd say there's as close to 0 chance Desai is the DC next year. The Bears are either going to go with a 1st time head coach, who will bring in an experienced DC. Or they'll go with an experienced HC who will already have made enough connections to bring in his own guy.

For real, Johnson is their only good DB. Gipson is fine, DHC isn't awful but he just went out, Jackson is probably ok. Everyone else is pretty much street free agent quality.

Remember when Dalton came in and started throwing screens and was getting out on the run a bit? Is Nagy sabotaging the team?

I agree he won't be back or hasn't been good enough to pine over, but the Bears D hasn't been bad with a terrible secondary. Clearly Desai has a future in the league.

It's almost as if the refs felt not going for it on 4th could only result in bad things for Chicago, so they called Vildor on an iffy-at-best out of bounds.
