BD legit may need to be fired (he won’t). And I’ve been the one saying everyone is overreacting. This defense is embarrassing.

You think another coach is going to get some of these humps to magically play defense? Vooch and Coby need to go. Replace them with guys that understand there are two sides to the floor and hopefully play a full (or mostly full) season with Ball & Caruso and the defense will be fine.

I haven’t been watching because who could stomach it but this type of collapse makes me think the team has quit on Donovan

 

It’s so bad I have to wonder if there was some internal blowup and this is some kind of weird strike by the players

lmao this is a legit disaster. Normally I’d say the team is coasting to the playoffs whatever but given their recent play you’d think if this team has any heart they would come out and get a confidence building win

I know they're in the playoffs so this is a bit different but this season is now right up there with the 04 Cubs and the 12 Bears for me. Could not be any less excited about a playoff berth. They're lifeless.

I mean, I know what you mean and I mostly agree. But the playoffs will be against teams they haven't beaten all year, even when they've been playing well and mostly to fully healthy. They'll probably play better, but I think there's very little chance they get out of the 1st round and I doubt they win 2 games in any series.

I really don’t think the Bulls are just coasting because they’re locked into a playoff seed. They’ve been getting their brains beat in since February. 6-16 I think since the break. Part of that is the schedule but a legit good team would be beating good teams occasionally.

 

KC tweeted that the Bulls Net Rating since February 25th is -8.2 which is 28th in the NBA. Believe that number is opponent adjusted too (I think?) meaning the Bulls have been the 3rd worst team in the NBA over the last 6+ weeks.

So officially playing the Bucks. That sucks, I least wanted to play them. Another moment for Milwaukee/Wisconsin sports fans to own Chicago sports fans.

 

That said we at least had 2 close games against them so maybe at least one of the losses isn’t by double digits

I mean yeah the Bulls have given absolutely no reason to think they can win this series. I wouldn't say its impossible but I wouldn't expect any expert to predict a Bulls win. More telling is that 16 of the 20 have the Bulls losing in 4 or 5 games and no one has it going 7.

 

I think Game 1 is going to tell us everything we need to know about the series. If the Bulls get blown out from the jump, they are going down in 4. If its close for some or all of the game there is a chance the Bulls can steal 1 in Chicago or maybe 2. If they somehow win Game 1, we might actually have a series. The hope I guess is that this week gives the Bulls a chance to reset and to get some practice in to fix the issues they've had since the ASB. Teams have figured out how to smother DeRozan, particularly late in games and the Bulls have had no answer for it. There is not a ton of time to practice in the regular season so if there was ever a time to fix it strategically its now.

Vooch has got to go. PWill needs to gain some confidence. We need to make whatever sacrifice is necessary to the basketball gods to keep Ball healthy next season.

Why does Vuc need to go?

 

He needs to play with an athletic defensive 4 and BD needs to implement much better PnR strategies, but Vuc is fine.
