Why does Vuc need to go?

 

the bulls can't afford another bad defender when they already have 2 awful ones starting in demar and zach. if a metric says vucevic is okay defensively, it is wrong. i don't think i ever believed in the empty stats thing until i saw vucevic play. you watch him play and it's just so obvious that he is not good.

I don’t think Zach is an awful defender. I think when he puts in the effort (theoretically in the playoffs) he is an above average on ball defender. He certainly lacks the awareness and off ball defense to ever be considered good, but he’s not as bad as people like to say.

 

And I’ll just say I disagree with your assessment of Vuc.

Hate to be so critical of Vooch when he played great, but he misses way too many close shots. Dominating down low and he’s still hanging out on the perimeter.

let's be honest, nobody in this thread expected demar or zach to have a good game. demar has so little self-awareness when his shots aren't falling

I didn't watch the whole game, but Derozan was just chucking up junk in the 4th quarter. I don't think I saw him make a shot

I didn’t expect to see them and Vuc combine to shoot 29% (21-71). That was horrendous even for playoff demar

The Lavine charge and the Lopez and 1 when Pat was pretty close to being set. Lavine charge was most likely to get overturned but it was the first half(I think). Edit: midway through the third.

 

The other 2 may not have been overturned but it was so late and potentially game changing that it’s worth it.

yeah billy not challenging the Williams foul was egregious

 

I also hate his side out of bounds plays it always seems like we are just getting the ball inbounded without a five second call and it’s always in some horrendous position
