Bears receivers, on the whole, are worth horsefeathers, they're not helping Fields out, cannot consistently get open, multiple drops, I'm very much for trading Robinson. He's playing terribly, Nagy is certainly to blame however, he just flat out sucks.

Count me in the camp that thinks Fields is still a future superstar in this league. He was put in an absolutely horrible position with this horsefeathers show. I pray every day that Pace & Nagy are relieved of their duties ASAP and we get actually competent football people to replace them in the offseason.

I'm going to exaggerate a bit but, why is it every other team in the history of the NFL is able to go to some quick passing game to take pressure off their QB except the Bears? It's absolutely beyond comprehension, is it really that difficult to execute?

I'm far more sent on ditching Nagy/Pace then Fields.

1)Foles

2)Graham

3) Cohen

4) Leno

5) Fuller

6) o-line

I'm far more willing to give another group of coaches/GM a chance with Fields then to continue the horsefeathers Pace/Nagy have given us

What do you mean by Leno and Fuller? Fuller was benched in Denver, it was the right decision to move on. Leno is a middling overpaid lineman, they got everything they could out of the late draft pick and moved on, it was fine.

And Cohen in injured, so, like what are you listing him for? I'm more concerned about guys like Cole Kmet taken so high and not performing at all. Mooney being the supposed new guy not catching easily catchable balls. Yes, Foles was a trash move.

...and why does every other team seem to have a good scramble drill where receivers find the open spot after the QB starts to move out of the pocket?

That simply must be bad coaching. Has to be.

Shouldn't a supposedly good WR like Robinson be able to do that despite the lack of coaching?

6) o-line. I feel like this is the biggest one on the list but listed last. We've been talking about it for years. That's got to earn Pace a pink slip. How is Fields or any other QB going to succeed with this trash up front? Yeah I get the Jenkins situation but shouldn't Pace have known that problem and it's just one guy, there's problems everywhere. Like you said Leno was mediocre and overpaid.

I guess so but in my mind that cannot be a reason to release the coaches from responsibility. And he's just one guy, it's not only him. I think it was raw saying earlier, Robinson is clearly not happy with his situation. That can't be excuse either though.

The fact the Bears are opening as 4 point dogs at home to a team that is in the midst of a 4 game losing streak is….disturbing.

Good opportunity to motivate the team though, I suppose.

getting rid of Leno w/o an obvious replacement. He was overpaid, but that was really only an issue because of the Graham and Foles contracts were sucking up their payroll. Same for Fuller, dumping him w/o someone to replace him and/or a strong market to shop in for a replacement. Once they traded up for Fields (and they basically announced to the world they would trade up for a QB), they severely limited their ability to replace either one. Pace drafted Jenkins, but even that pick was questionable considering his injury history. Doesn't he have a degenerative back issue?

Kmet and Mooney are more recent issues I feel like, but sure heap them onto the pile

Wonder how much the outbreak is going to grow. Fields mentioned yesterday that 45 min before Elijah Wilkinson was declared out, he saw him huddling in a room with another coach going over game plans. Obviously Nagy was around the entire team yesterday. With most of the locker room vaccinated, the spread will be limited but I bet we see a couple more this week.

I think the Bears are trying the quick passing game. The problem is the extent of their quick passing game is to have all the WRs run 5 yards, turn and stop. Stop routes don't work to Fields' strengths as he doesn't anticipate throws well. He's not a guy that's going to have the ball out before a WR comes out of his break. He's a "see it open, throw it" type of QB (Cutler was too FWIW). So, the coaching staff is doing him no favors.

Also, the Bears haven't executed or maybe even attempted a screen pass since the long Cohen TD in 2018. Isn't that supposedly the best way to slow down a pass rush?

I think they attempted one screen to Herbert against the Pack that he dropped.

You're right. It also wouldn't have been successful. But yeah, every other team seems to be able to do basic stuff like this.
