I didn’t realize before this that they just do 2 point conversions starting in the 3rd OT.

 

Neither did I. I don’t hate it other than both teams complete ineptitude as well as the switching sides of the field every OT

Running didn’t work well either. The pass Illinois threw in the 6th OT looked like the QB thought there was a second end zone behind the end zone. That thing was at least 5 feet over the WRs head.

Yeah the thing is Illinois has ~350 rushing yards today and 30 passing yards. and they made 4 straight passing attempts in consecutive OTs

I think it’s great that Illinois found a way to make history even though they aren’t a good program. Maybe a sign they’ll be on the upswing.

Illinois is a mediocre qb away from being a good team this year. Unfortunately, they have nothing close to resembling a mediocre qb on the roster.

I wonder what the odds were on a 9OT game still hitting the under. Had to be astronomical. That was a brutal display of football to watch yet I couldn't look away.
