Tampa-7 vs NE. Hmm everyone and their mother is expecting Brady to roll here. Something tells me the game ends with the Bucs escaping with a 3 point win

I think the Bucs beat the Pats soundly. There is absolutely nothing interesting about that NE offense.

Urban Meyer intentionally trying to cozy up to women at bars to get out of Jacksonville if that video on social media is what it appears?

Nah he can just claim he’s having more heart issues

Sean Payton is at the same time one of best offensive play callers of all time and still prone to boneheaded momentum killing decisions. Taysom chunking the ball up for grabs just when Jameis is finding his rhythm is just bad.

And just to go full Sean, he then has a terrible call challenge.

Holy hell was that miss by Mayfield bad. Worst of the season I've seen, thus far.

He was overthrowing people all day. Terrible day passing the ball. Even a mediocre passing day would have had the Brown win by 2 scores

I don’t know why the Packers took a QB, certainly don’t see why they seem to be wanting to move to him as a starter. Rodgers could play another 5 years at an elite level. Watching him, he’s not really close to diminishing skills that take him out of elite status.

...you tryin' to say Rodgers is still good?

Eh, he’s alright I guess.

It's easy to say that now, after arguably the best statistical season of his career. But when the decision was made he was 36 coming off of a three year stretch of not really being a superstar anymore (he wasn't top ten in QB rating or top 15 in QBR in either 2018 or 2019). Hard to make the cap work when you are paying a guy like a top quarterback when he isn't playing like one.

And there is no way they want to move on from Rodgers at this point, although they might not have a choice.

Wasn’t he hurt and/or fighting injuries during some of that though?

Worst called game I can remember from Sean Payton.

I don't understand the Taysom experiment's longevity.

I'll say it again, Taysom is a huge part of the Saints and is a great change of pace QB to throw in there when things aren't clicking on offense, or sometimes in goal line situations. Payton has a tendency to overuse him when that is not how he's best utilized, ESPECIALLY when Jameis is finding a rhythm with his WRs. It reminds me of the Reggie Bush double reverse fumble in the red zone years ago against Tampa. Sean can get too cute for his own good sometimes.

INFURIATING. Time to take the training wheels off Jameis.

100%. Let's see what he can do. That 3rd and long dump pass at midfield with about 3 minutes left in regulation was WAY too conservative.

A bit but he didn't miss a game in 18 or 19. And being injured doesn't really support the argument that the Love pick was terrible.

For the record, I hated the Love pick. But I do think it was justifiable, from a hard numbers standpoint, and you cannot factor Rodgers' resurgence into how you view the decision.
