Why in the holy hell is Nagy challenging this? Are his coaches that watch replays and tell him whether to challenge stupid? Like WTF

Maybe he’s not calling plays and he’s desperate to do something

I still wanna see an answer in terms of air yards though

It looked like he threw it at the 5 and it was caught at the 50. Might have been the 10 though

That's awesome. I wonder if Mitch managed any that far or if we have to go all the way back to Cutler to get a pass that long from a Bears QB.

I’m not going to complain about a game plan that’s clearly working but I’d love to see more pass attempts.

Seems to me this is the right way to go at this point for Fields. Sure I’d love to see more passes I’m just not sure it would work out well.

I know Wims dropped it but this one was a dime thrown about 55 yards (thrown at Bears 48, ended up about 5 yards into the end zone so I guess 53)

They're a running team this year at least. It should be their strength. Yea they're leaning a little hard right now, but it's working right now.

Hopefully they'll be a really balanced team that passes and runs well next year with a new coach and a full season of snaps under Fields belt.

I still think the playcalling is very Nagyesque. Has anyone noticed anything that would suggest Lazor is calling plays other than the offense being more successful? Some different runs outside of the tackles but still no rollouts, no screens, no outside runs

I think it's possible. Like if they just get embarrassed against Detroit, it could be as high as 50/50.

And no I don't care about what they've done in the past because every situation is unique.

Who would become the coach? Lazor?

I'm guessing Mike Pettine. He has experience as a HC. Though, I could see some value in seeing if Lazor or DeFilippo could run a team (especially if it happens this week) with 13 games to go, as there would still be time to turn things around in this season. And either of those guys could be potentially be a long-term hire if things go extremely well, while Pettine would certainly not ever be more than an interim.

Yea, I'm thinking it would be Pettine as a caretaker and DeFillippo if they wanted to give someone a legit audition for the permanent role.

[Really, the Lions should have had 3 and outs on consecutive drives. Smith turns his head there and has an INT at midfield instead of inside the 10. Sketchy roughing the passer call on the next drive, and the bulk of the Lions offense has been penalty aided
