In 2 PA, the Cubs were able score as many runs as they had in 11 of their last 14 games.

We’ll see. They aren’t allowed to travel with the Cubs traveling party because they aren’t at 85% vaccinated so the Cubs would have to pay for them to travel on their own probably. PTR won’t approve

Frustrating. Any replacements for him in the minors? I don’t believe so. It’ll be worse next year when the Cubs have to overpay him and he continues to do the same.

Several. But nobody within a couple years of the majors.

 

Now...you could look at Hoerner as a replacement.

Why does anyone believe being “buyers” is the right direction for the team over the next few weeks???? If they were a player or two from being a legit WS contender, sure, buy buy buy. But this team is seriously flawed in so many areas. They need 2-3 starters, an outfielder or two, a catcher or at least a competent backup, a second baseman, maybe a legit LH bat off the bench. What am I missing???

 

Sell the sh!t out of this team and start over with a new core. Maybe we can go back to low expectations and just being happy with individual performance and promising prospects.
