Agreed. My interest is low until Stan is gone. They’re a bad organization with him in charge.

 

Only reason i followed the game is because a friend gave me 4 free tickets on the 100 level. Colliton was booed during the home opener introductions lol

Damn...I feel like I usually have a good feel for these things and I thought Colliton was 1-2 games away from being fired. I forgot that he's Stan's buddy which probably gives him extra protection.

So I knew that ESPN+ was streaming NHL games this year but didn’t realize they were exclusively broadcasting them without local TV coverage. For instance, Seattle fans that want to watch the first home game of their team’s existence will have to subscribe to ESPN+ to watch it. I just looked and there are 4 Blackhawks games this year that are like this. Man I hate the steaming TV era.

it's not weird that they are all bad. it's weird how utterly broken and unlikable they all are. all 3 are currently among the biggest jokes of their respective leagues, and in so many different ways. just nasty stuff. at least the bears don't currently have a rape scandal or trumpers in charge, i guess.

This is a weird exaggeration. The Cubs are disappointing to us, but they are a well above average MLB organization. The Bears are 3-4 with wins over 2 current AFC division leaders, and play in the same league as the Jets/Dolphins/Jaguars/Texans/Eagles/Lions/Giants, a whole slew of disastrous organizations. Yes, the Blackhawks are a mess.

Someone's head needs to roll, plus it gives the team an excuse to fire Colliton down the road and host a fire sale of anything/anyone not nailed down.

If management wanted to fire Stan then this would have provided the perfect opportunity. But I don't think they are anywhere near that point yet unfortunately. So it sounds like the Senior VP of Hockey Operations is the one that will take the fall.
