A lot can happen between now and training camp, let alone the first game. But the 17 game schedule is official now and the Bears will play in Vegas, so 9 road games are on the slate. They also go to LA to face the Rams again, Seattle, Cleveland, Tampa and Pittsburgh. They will host Arizona, San Fran, Baltimore, Cincy and the Giants.

Once I'm all vaccinated count me in for the Tampa trip, and hell, I might just have to go to Vegas.

Anyway, back to the offseason thread.

With the schedule moving to 17 games, how many years will it still take for the Bears to get their first 4,000 yard passing and/or 30 passing TD season?

Kellen Mond says he’s had a lot of contact with the Bears. That makes me nervous.

Don’t want Mond?

No, I don’t think he’s going to be a good NFL QB.

Vegas will be a tough ticket considering it will be the first year for fans.

Tampa seems tough as well considering they are reigning champs and just hosted the Superbowl. Didn't have a full stadium last year and may be those fans last chances to see Tom Brady.

Sure, but most guys aren't. As a mid-round prospect he seems like a somewhat interesting candidate.

You have faith that Pace isn't going to do something stupid and draft him in the first round. I do not have that same faith.

Yes - I do tend to err on the side of "Pace is an aggressive bet taker who does otherwise very conventional GM things" than "lol Pace".

Once the first round spree is over, Pace will have his choice of guys in the later rounds with Trask, Mond, Newman, Mills, Ehrlinger, etc...

I'm still actually expecting him to trade Foles somewhere and get one of Garappolo or Minshew.

I worry about Pace reaching late in the 1st as well

And horsefeathers tons of Bears fans have houses in the Tampa/Ft Myers area.

never in the history of the world has it been difficult to acquire a ticket to a sporting event in the tampa st. pete area. If you want to go, you can go without being gouged.

I went to a Rays game a couple years ago, and they let me make a mound visit in the 7th.
I'm going to buy a Pirates jersey this year just on the off chance they let me (or one of the other 1700 in attendance) play RF for an inning or two.

Sounds like the Bears voted against the 17 game season and may have been the only ones?

I'm not a big fan of the 17 game season but leave it to the old fashioned stuck in the mud Bears to be the only ones voting against progress. (sorry i couldnt help myself)

I mean, George is right.

Like I said, I'm not a fan of it, I just couldnt help but take a cheap shot about the Bears being the only team holding up "progress". Good for them for taking a stand

by the looks of it, the players aren't in favor either, So if Geo is the only owner on their side (let's just stretch an assumption) then that can only bode well for the Bears, right?
