Since the week 1 matchup, both teams are 4-6.

Both teams lost in Week 12 on national TV by a score of 41-25.

I love having stuff in common with the Lions.

growing up, TB was one of the worst franchises in history of any sport with only NO to rival them. Detroit, it seemed to me at the time, would someday rise to claim a championship with guys like Barry Sanders.

shows you how much I can predict this sport

I came of age with the '85 Bears and of course they were going to be a dynasty. The Packers were going to be fodder for us each year. This was just understood to be a happy fact of being a Bear fan.

I know I'm wrong more often than I'm right so it doesn't mean anything, but god does it feel good to stop hearing "STFU we're 5-1, what do you mean we need a rebuild" and have everyone on the same page. (Not here, in more general Bears fandom places).

We're in full-on tank mode.

I got sucked into engaging with Twitter idiots today that are still like, "Retool, SB Champs 2021 Baby!" (more or less)

41-25 had been the final score of an NFL game only once prior to this past week.

I was gonna say that is an extremely unlikely outcome but damn

Lions get the fired head coach dead cat bounce. Defense doesn't try again. Bears lose 21-17 (garbage time 2 TDs late by the Bears O)

Is the "fired head coach dead cat" bounce a real thing or are you just trying to stay positive?

When a coach was as disliked as much as Patricia apparently was, I feel like it's a thing.

Would you want Pat Fitzgerald as coach? I think the Bears need an offensive coach.

I think the Bears need a good coach. I don't care what his specialty is. While I think Fitzgerald is a good coach, I don't know if he's a good NFL coach, and he doesn't do anything scheme wise that is innovative or groundbreaking nor comes from that type of coaching tree. If he could pull in a good coordinators, I'd feel alot better about hiring him. But he's pretty meh on the surface.

Nick Foles is active today and the backup QB. Robinson, Mooney, Hicks and Mack were all questionable and all are playing.

Wims is active again, with Ridley watching again. And will finally get to see Trevis Gipson for the first time since Week 1, with James Vaughters hurt. Vaughters is the only injured scratch.

Inactives: Vaughters, McCullers, Simmons, Pierce, and Ridley.

Sorry, another post. But the worst part about the Fitzgerald rumors is that the ownership likes him. While it's fine for the ownership to like people, if they hire or try to push Fitzgerald on a new GM (and hopefully president of football operations) it's likely to end horribly. Like everything else does for this organization.

So, does this show the Bears should have started Trubisky all season or that the Bears should have played the Lions every game this season?
