I know the Cubs have switched hitting coaches several times in this run but the offense has never looked this bad I don’t think. Probably won’t change anything but maybe it’s time to find a new guy we’ll all want to fire soon

don’t know how you do it, but break this garbage up this off season please
I don't even know if it solves anything now with the shift, but give me some guys who put the freaking ball in play. This offense is unbelievably broken and has been for years.

Well, they have a week to hopefully figure some things out with the offense. Hopefully something clicks or just pure dumb luck of some positive regression towards career norms for a few guys and they get hot in the playoffs. But mostly, hopefully they stay healthy and are able to get the pitchers lined up and rested and test some bullpen stuff out (Brailyn please).

I still believe in KB being pretty good overall. Maybe the perfect time to get an extension done.
Sure, if he's willing to sign for what a "pretty good" player is worth, which is nowhere near the numbers being talked about a few years ago.

Whether it’s from us or not he’s gonna be getting a lot less than the $200+ people were talking about in the last 2-3 years. Hopefully he realizes it and we get him to re-sign for ~$150 mil this offseason on an extension.

Don’t think he will entertain an extension after this year. No way the FO offers him what he’s looking for after this season and I’m sure KB is confident enough in his abilities to decide to play out his contract, have a bounce back year and try the FA market. And if he sucks next year, that sucks but he’ll take a 1-2 year prove it contract and rebuild his value.

But geez, Bryant is probably happy at this point that he lost his grievance. Or he is so mad about it he decided to rank the season so the extra year the Cubs got would

be a terrible one.

I can't see a Scott Boras client signing a long term extension after his absolute worst season. He's going to put all his eggs in the 2021 basket. For both his and the Cubs sake, hopefully he has a huge contract year to justify a big contract from someone. If not, he's a 30 year old free agent with less than spectacular numbers and potentially injury prone.

He’s never had a client like this with so many variables. Not necessarily a top FA in a loaded class, uncertainty of owners willingness to spend, looming CBA/lockout, 3 straight years of injury detailing performance, etc. I could see him being very open to an extension.
