The Bears stopped the bleeding, temporarily at least and now go out to face a Rams team that is also sitting in 3rd place in a tough division.

Chicago is a 6.5 point road dog, only the 2nd time this season I can remember them entering as underdogs. Considering how ridiculously overpriced the Bears have been all season, and their 3-6 record ATS, one would think this will be a laugher in favor of the home team. But the Rams aren't juggernauting much at all this year. Los Angeles has scored ~60 more points this season than the Bears while giving up 30 fewer. They are a stoppable offense, although they have only scored less than 14 twice this year, and have gone over 30 3 times (losing one of those).

If one had any remaining hopes of the Bears contending this season, that person may talk themselves into a repeat of last year's smack down in Chicago.

But the defense has not looked capable of repeating that effort at any point this year, especially not with Hicks and now Trevathan sidelined. Mack will have to carry the load if they were to get this done. I'm thinking the offense will probably go three and out the first five or six possessions, giving the defense plenty of opportunity to score themselves, and in the end maybe score 12 points. We shall see.

Bears have to be one of the last teams to play a game in LA since the return of the Rams and arrival of Chargers right?

I think its:

Bears

Cowboys

Patriots

Jets

Lions

Jaguars

Bucs

that haven't played in LA yet.

I don't remember Sulley as being that much of a hump. In fact, he was "Mr. react to everything in the moment" guy, not "Mr. let's slow down and take the long view" guy

Really? I think he still believes the Bears have an elite running game.

speaking of which, he still owes me $20

What's the Whitehair-Daniels disaster/situation? Is Daniels playing G and Whitehair at C?

Did you not watch the Lions game?

I missed it. Enlighten us plz. What was the disaster?

Well thats partially true. The stomach flu that helped me to sleep in until 2:pm cst was a bitch, but it still doesn’t explain anything about Whitehair/Daniels. How about helping your fellow fan out, where they turnstiles?

Do not come at Mr. Pace

NEVER SIDE WITH MANAGEMENT, SULLEY.

I especially like the logic trap of the last one. "Well, the shitty GM who should be fired says the shitty QB who shouldn't have been drafted reminds him of one of the best QBs of all time! BOOM, GOTCHA."

it reads like

"SO WHAT IF WE CATAPULTED OURSELVES AROUND ANDROMEDA, WE HAD NO FUEL LEFT! IT WAS THE CORRECT DECISION! BESIDES ITS TOO LATE TO TURN BACK NOW! WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!! AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

It's also worth pointing out that Brees sat the bench his first year. So while his fourth year was his breakout year, he had about the same number of starts as Trubisky does now.

Let's all relive the day Trubisky was drafted:

Wut? He got the best QB in the draft, a dude with a super quick release, who doesn't throw interceptions and can run.

Not happy what they gave up, but i can only think SF held them hostage.

Has...has secretly been Pace the entire time?

I'm just giving you horsefeathers because of our Trubisky debate a few months ago. It's all good, bro.

Cool. I think the declaration of him not being a 1st rounder is the hottest take I've had in a few years lol.

Lol. I think he'll be great, but injuries happen, too. We'll see.

"Guys, I totally realistically think that the only way Trubisky isn't a horsefeathering franchise QB is if he gets hurt."

That just doesn't make any sense to me.

Guys starting for 2+ years is how you get a lot of tape and a lot of confidence in your judgement of that tape.

I'm not knocking him for only 13 games, I'm doubting highly how this front office could be that in love to make that trade for him with such limited data.

I don't know how much more anyone needs. They can see him get through his progressions better than anyone else, and they can see that his release is just about as quick as any QB that's been drafted in the last 10 years, they can see how accurate he is with his throws, they can see that he can scramble and avoid the pass rush. it's enough tape.

the cool thing is in 2019 when he's got 13 NFL games on tape people will say it's way too early to make a judgement so we'll get to hear just how pumped up to see him take the next step.

sulley pushing the "it's early" story for as long as possible

Guess the author tried to reach Pace with no success, Pace is certainly to blame for this mess. However, in some respects I can sympathize with Pace refusing to comment. Just how many times in how many ways can you be told you fucked up? Before growing a thin skin and telling someone who wishes to document you're failure, once again, to horsefeathers off?

The one thing we can't blame Pace for is the bust of Roquan Smith, he was widely hailed as one of the best picks of the 2018 draft, all teams would have drafted him in the spot he was chosen. There isn't a NFL GM or front office in existence that could have anticipated Roquan would have whatever problems he's having.

Thanks for the trip back. I'm pretty happy with my draft day knee jerk analysis all things considered.

Crazy to read the reviews of Trubisky's strengths of footwork and reading progressions. Nbd, just missed on his biggest weaknesses by calling them his biggest strengths.

Remember that Cian Fahey article that raved about how otherwordly accurate he was too?

Was that the one about how shocked his teammates were at practice whenever he threw an incompletion?

I don't know if I'd rather have it be that Pace and co just whiffed terribly or that there is a literal curse at Halas Hall that destroys QBs.
