Well, they weren't expecting Descalso to turn out to be the calamity he ended up being, Bote was hanging around, and they still had Zobrist at that point.

 

Like, super shitty Happ wasn't going to bring any more value than those other guys sucking (well, the ones who didn't mysteriously disappear).

I just don’t want the Brewers to win the World Series. One because their fans would be way too annoying smug. Two because that would mean Ryan Braun has a World Series title. Three because Brewers fans are mostly Packers fans.

Happ was better than any of these guys before making any changes, sure be mad they can’t find better replacement but he was still the better player to break camp with over the last 2-3 years than any of them.
