MNF is really picking them this year

MNF has gotten shitty games ever since the games moved to ESPN and SNF got top priority for games. I miss when the Monday night game was the marquee game more than not

If the Bears win tonight, the NFC North will be a combined 9-2-1 after 3 weeks, with both losses coming in games vs. NFC North teams (Packers beating Chicago and Minnesota)

And MNF pays double what SNF pays for the rights

There's a whole lot of other stuff besides just the MNF games that ESPN is getting in that package, FWIW.

it was meant to mean that Eli was hugely disappointing his first 3 years in the fact that he was just...mediocre. Now, Eli won a couple of Super Bowls-some would even say despite the fact his team was quarterbacked by Eli Manning. He does have that above Mitchell. But in the end, my only real point is if you think Eli is somehow an improvement over Trubisky at this stage of Mannings career, you're nuts. Or stupid. Or perhaps, full of gumbers pee balls.

Eli was actually the one example I was able to find when I went looking for recent QBs who got significantly better after year 3 (this was right after week 1). Everyone else was basically who they were by year 3, if not year 2.

Drew Brees?

I just remembered how much I hate playing Washington. 2-13 in our last 15 against them including 7 losses in a row despite them being terrible for almost that entire time. We’ve been terrible most of that time too but still

I'm old enough to remember the playoffs 1986 and 1987. Hate the redskins. They should collapse the franchise based on racism, but I'd enjoy it just because we've had such a tough time with them.

Maybe my fav game was a Sunday or Monday night game that Urlacher caught a fake fg for a td..2001?

Drew Brees?

He didn't break out until year 4, but he only played 1 game year 1 and 11 year 3, so "game wise" he was in the 3 year window. Took until NO to really ascend and get more consistent, but he was top 3 in Passer rating that year (single, flawed stat, all that it is, but still)

I really wish the whole wave of doing pregame shows in the middle of screaming faux fans would die, quickly. Looks like one dude is getting paid to hold a Bud Light in the air and scream over the ESPN broadcast.

Meeting Sean Payton was the best thing to happen to Drew Brees.

Yes, but their games are still mostly terrible. Fox often has two better games per week than ESPN.

oline was awful that drive and you can’t take that sack.

Okish drive but it was all scripted plays. Mitch didn’t have to make progressions or do anything but execute the play to the intended number 1 target. Which he did with mediocre accuracy
