Glad we play before Brewers-Cards on Fri and Sat. If the Cubs win, I’ll probably root for Milwaukee. If we lose then I root for St Louis.

Ideal scenario for me is the Cubs sweep the Pirates and the other series goes 2-1.

I know it flies in the face of logic but I hope Milwaukee wins all those games. I want to maximize the shot at the division in the event this team gets their crap together, and also horsefeathers St. Louis in the ear

I assume not, but just for the sake of convo, what are the chances Yu exercises his opt out after this season? Even if he finishes strong, he can't top 4 years and $81 million, right?

I don’t think that’s totally impossible, if he finishes in the same manner as he’s been pitching the past two months. He’s been utterly dominant.

The next question is, do we want him to opt out?

Fangraphs still has the Cubs making the playoffs?

Poll time: Taking away all emotion, how many of you still think that's happening?

I do not. I think Fangraphs now is worthless because of this and will never care about anything they ever say again.

Because of past year when we were between 90 and 95% to win the division at the end of August and didn’t?

Oh, crap. That, too. We are FanGraph busters. They must be so pissed at the Cubs.

So your issue is that you don't understand how Fangraphs projections work? I'm either failing to see what your issue with Fangraphs is or you're being Schwarber Fan levels of meatbally here.

Yeah, I was just being stupid.

Only if that's the first domino to fall that leads to signing Cole and him bringing the Astros pitching magic with him.
