I don’t know why you guys are even checking the wild card standings

If we don’t win the division I’d rather not make the playoffs at all. I’m not doing 2018 again

Even my pessimistic ass would rather roll the dice in a one game playoff than miss completely. It would be nice to have the game at Wrigley though. The Mets choking tonight was unfortunately huge.

It means the Brewers didn't get in. That's all I care about, actually.

That’s horsefeathering [expletive]. Use some common sense with this. Joe was obviously waiting for the first challenge to be decided. If this happened in a closer game that would be absolutely enraging

I know it’s the Mariners and they suck, but Joe needs to keep Zobrist 1 and Schwarber 2 for awhile. No more screwing around with Heyward there and Russell shouldn’t see an at bat once Javy is healthy. A lineup of:

Zobrist

Schwarber

KB

Rizz

BDN

Javy

Contreras

Heyward/Happ

would be pretty nice

I realize there is an off day tomorrow but not sure the point of using all of the reliable set-up men with 6 and 5 run leads.

The Mets are about to blow a 10-4 lead in the 9th to Washington. Unbelievable.

7 in the 9th and the Nats walk it off. It’s just not going to break our way this year.

At this point we just have to win ballgames. We control our destiny.

1) The wildcard is for losers

2) The Mets collapsing in spectacular fashion is ALWAYS a good thing.

And if you want the Cubs to make the playoffs, you should probably root for the one team ahead of us in the wild card to beat a team that is within striking distance of us, since that team in front of us is in another division.

The only WC team I'm concerned about at this point is the Phillies. Unless the Cubs completely horsefeathers the bed over next 4 weeks, I don't see anyone else catching them. The Phillies are a little too close for comfort though.

If the Cubs can be 2 games or less out of first in the final 10 I like their chances. Plus the Cardinals schedule seems to tighten up after Thursday. Yes they continue to play crap teams, but they are on the road. horsefeathers the WC, I want no part of that game post 2015. Although, if you win, you get the Dodgers in a best of 5 rather than a best of 7 which would be better for the Cubs. All of this would be meaningless if they were 22 games over instead of 12. How many horsefeathering games did they piss away? Or Joe, put his "I drank two bottles of wine" at Binny's lineup?
