I’d like to think if Zobrist comes back he’d be gone but you know they’d send Bote down. Not that that would be undeserved either. Second base and the bullpen are the two holes with this team and they are both massive holes.

Letting Russell go was such an easy move for the Cubs to make, for both on and off the field reasons. It was handed to them on a silver platter and they screwed it up. Now they have to wait for him to do something stupid again to justify getting rid of him. Meanwhile, his salary could have paid for a servicable relief pitcher.
