Ok Cubs, you won. But seriously, wtf?? I asked for runs… you gave me 2. I asked you to beat the sorry-ass Brewers by a lot and you win by one… and, on top of that, it took fifteen… FIFTEEN horsefeathering innings! Lastly, I asked you to get rid of Russell and, well horsefeathers, he’s still there... although thank you for at least not allowing him to do anything good again.

Let’s recap what happened though, shall we. You scored one run... ONE horsefeathering RUN... against Kyle “I miss my mommy” Davies. The guy looks like he’s 12 and has a tattoo of the Space Needle on his arm… the motherfucking SPACE NEEDLE!!

What’s even worse is that the first run would have never scored without an aggressive, but appropriate, send of David Bote followed by what has probably been the best slide ever by any Cub player NOT named Javy Baez.

Seriously, you guys should’ve donged his ass into next week. But you didn’t. No excuse. Fortunately, Contreras saved all your asses with his master donging in the 15th. (We forgive your earlier DP groundball after a dumb bunt attempt, Willy.)

Tonight, Big Jon Lester takes the mound against someone called “Julie” Chacin. I understand that, in reality, we aren’t going to need much because he’s Big Jon and it's ESPN, but for fucks sake, SCORE SOME horsefeathering RUNS, WILL YA!!

That is all.

Is GoT bizarrely on super early, or is this Derwooding?

It's on 2 hours later, but last week someone was complaining that there were 3 Sunday night games in a row that interfered with the last 3 episodes of GoT, which is stupid

Eh; it is pretty annoying when a live sporting event I want to watch is on at the same time as something else I want to see. Makes sense.

Would a random game in May even barely tempt you to miss the series finale of a show you loved?

I’m DVR’ing Thrones tonight and will get to it after the game. Did it last week and will do it these next two weeks. Last week I was able to start it maybe 30 min after it had started because the game was over/blowout (don’t remember if it was actually over or I just switched away after we went up like 9).

If GoT gets spoiled for me, I'll be pissed. If the score of a baseball game gets spoiled, I couldn't care less.

I've been watching probably a good 99% of my favorite shows at the earliest the day after they air for years now, so I'm not the right person to ask. Sports are essentially the only live/as it happens TV I watch (because watching live events like sports after the fact is something I find as insane as you look at waiting to watch a new episode of GoT).

I'd rather just skip the 1 game out of 162 in favor of one of the biggest episodes of TV in history

The episode apparently leaked, go find it and watch it before 6 CT. Problem solved

Where are you seeing the back tightness thing for Rizzo? I’m not seeing it by any of the beat guys who would normally have it on a quick twitter search.

Edit: never mind I saw Jesse tweet it, I don’t follow that fool.

Yeah, Sixers/Raptors should be good.

I can only equate this at all recently to breaking bad or BCS as I have no interest in GoT but yes I'd absolutely watch the Cubs game live and watch the show after.
