Just read a Fishbain tweet.....

Bears used only 56 players this season. Tied for lowest in the NFL. Everyone on the 53 now + Sims, Callahan & Acho (who was hurt in Week 1)

I think they used Cooper also (or was he never active?) . And since they didn't use Bray or Coward, is there one other player that had active and later cut ala Cooper?

Yes, Cooper is 56 instead of Coward. So, 52 of the 53 + Cooper, Sims, Callahan and Acho, who actually got hurt against Seattle. Thought for sure he never made it to week 2. But I was mistaken

Pretty sure Mitch was near the top of this list around midseason. He's really come around later in the year on the accuracy front, with the obvious exception of the Rams game.

Mitch is playing really well, but the last few weeks the Bears did a lot of dink and dunking

Nagy is a pretty smart dude.

FYI, all the WRs (Robinson, Miller, Gabriel) practiced in full today. Jackson and Lynch both still held out of practice.

Great news. I thought Miller might be a no-go.

Hot take: Anthony Miller will be the offense’s postseason stud and MVP

I had no idea he crushed it so much as a rookie (7 TDs in 33 recs, 36th ranked WR by DVOA)

I didnt like the draft pick. But now i love it.

i don't think there was any chance of him not suiting up. It's his shoulder, not his legs. Even running routes as a decoy would be better than not playing in an elimination game. But I'm guessing the kid will tough it out until he can have post season surgery.

You didn't like the pick or the fact that they traded to do it? I don't remember anybody on earth not liking that pick.

Mr. "I remember a play in the 3rd inning of a game in early May in 2001" doesn't remember all the people who hated the Trubisky pick? Just go back to the draft thread and you'll see a ton of people who hated the pick

I wasn’t familiar with Miller coming out of college and only had draft reports to go on. So trading up for him I didn’t love. I guess I didnt hate it either, it just wasnt what I really wanted to do at the time. None of that matters, hes awesome and I love him.

Yeah I had no idea who he was and didn't love trading up for a WR when we already invested in Robinson and Gabriel in the offseason but as soon as I read the reports on him I was fully on board.

I was reading earlier that in his last 3 games, Foles has been getting rid of the ball within like 2.5 seconds which is really really quickly. I am assuming a similar game plan on Sunday as it has given the Bears defense a lot of trouble this year (although I think its been a little better of late)

if anyone wants to relive this disaster (i watched some just for the nostalgia of seeing the team and old soldier field)

i don't really remember a single specific play from this game. do remember mcnabb dunking on the goal posts.

Don't remember much about the actual game. But my 2-month old nephew was in the hospital after an asthma attack. Which brought his dad into town (he was a Purdue student at the time). He was an eagles fan and wanted to watch the game with me instead of the hospital, which was the exact opposite of what I wanted.

Like I said, idk any game specifics but I remember being really pissed at a horrible showing and basically watching the 2nd half from another room so I could scream into a pillow constantly.

Last week, he threw 33 passes, 5 of them went more than 10 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. None pass the 15 yard mark. 2-5, with an INT. Only 1 other pass was over 5 yards beyond the LOS (a TD). 12 that didn't make it past the LOS at all.

That'll definitely be their game plan. 1. It keeps the pass rush at bay with a QB with bruised ribs. 2. It gets the ball to playmakers and forces the Bears to tackle in space, something they failed to do against Miami and historically have had issues doing to Golden Tate.

But when you do that predictably, that's how you get the Amukamara pick 6 vs Seattle, the Jackson pick 6 on Thanksgiving, and the Fuller pick 6, I think against Miami.

With the way Fangio disguises, the eagles have to mix it up and go down the field or else Foles will be baited into a mistake.

One thing the Bears have not experienced a lot this year is playing behind and almost never experienced was playing by more than 1 score behind. Could that be a concern if the Eagles strike early and take them out of their game plan? Well, these were the times they were more than 8 points down in a game:

@ARI: Down 14-0 in 1st won 16-14

vs NE: Down 38-24 with 8 mins left in game, lost 38-31

@NYG: Down 24-14 with 4 mins left in 3rd, lost 30-27 in OT

That’s it. In 2 of the cases they managed to claw back and tie/take the lead (one of them with the aid of a recovered onside kick), and in the other they were 1 yard from tying it (albeit via a completed Hail Mary). Seems like no matter what area you try to talk yourself into worrying about the Bears you can find stats that prove that the Bears have excelled in that area. And I don’t think there’s been a Bears team in the past 30 years you can say that about including 06.

16 games and in none of them the Bears were outplayed or outclassed. The NE game was the closest. So while it’s certainly possible the Bears play their worst game of the season and lose tomorrow, it’s just hard to imagine that happening
