Not real sure why we'd rejoice Ross passing on the bench coach job, but whatever.

I just think there would be too much noise if he was back in the clubhouse and prefer the show be totally on the field.

Come on...Chad Noble is dancing around the clubhouse in speedos. And they managed to win a damn WS with Ross there. It's a moot point now, but they'd have been just fine.

I don't really care who the bench coach is but this is one of the weirder takes I've seen you have, and that's saying something.

Hadn't seen this yet:

Interestingly, Mike Napoli interviewed with the Chicago Cubs before they filled their recent coaching vacancies, per Fancred’s Jon Heyman (via Twitter). It’s been less than a month since the former All-Star announced his retirement, but now that the Cubs went in a different direction, Napoli will have no trouble enjoying his time off. Napoli was always touted as a positive influence who buoyed clubhouse morale with intensity and charm, and there’s plenty reason to believe there is a future in coaching for him, if he so chooses.

So Theo made a big deal about the offense being broken after the Cubs were eliminated, and his plan to fix a self-described broken offense was to make no personnel changes and bring back the same offense players (adding Descalso)?

i don't believe that for a second

that's from a mets publication trying to prop up the chili davis hire

theo has made strong public comments on the importance of launch angle and chili has basically said launch angle is [expletive] at every opportunity

It's probably pretty easy to get somebody to say Theo didn't want to fire Chili, and I'm sure a part of Theo didn't want to fire him up until the moment he did it. No front office guy wants to fire a guy he brought in one year later. Doesn't mean it wasn't the right decision or that he regrets it.
