96 pitches and a 3 run lead. Try to extend him another inning?

Yeah send him back out, just have some guys ready in the bullpen

unless the cubs put up 4 this inning...

he won't pitch for a week if the cubs win the division

put him out there for the start at the very least

My concern is that he’s the likely wild card game pitcher if it comes to that. Meh

I horsefeathering love Lester. Doesn't look pretty and I'm not sure how much I actually trust him anymore but damnit he usually gets the job done. He's gonna crafty veteran lefty his way to a strong finish to his contract

Glanville came SO close but called him a "competitor". it's in the ballpark, though

What are the thoughts on Ian Happ these days?

i'm pleased with his performance in light of his arm injury

Wait. What? Happ is hurt too. Looks great last two games.

I still like Happ, I think he could be a very good player one day (he’s already pretty good). It might not be with us, but I love the walks and power and the versatility even though he looks awkward at times in the field he gets the job done. From the accounts on how hard a worker he is I think he’s going to improve on the Ks/contact. He’s always going to be a higher K guy, but if he’s walking 10-15% of the time so be it if he can get it down to 28-32%. I wouldn’t just let him go for nothing if we decide to move him but I would understand if we do move him.
