8-6 would be the Cubs playing the pace that they have been playing all year so..yeah seems doable especially once we get that precious day off

I swear...if I hear one complaint down the stretch from a Brewers fan complaining that the Cubs are catching a break with all the home games...

Just reassure their fears: no one likes the Brewers and the front office at MLB has gotta be stacking the deck for a better ratings in the WS.

Especially considering they have more September home games and 4 scheduled off days

(Unless we're counting the games on the South Side as 'home')

This feels like a huge game because winning the series @ Arizona seems unrealistic.

The DBacks are 4-9 this month, 7-12 their last 19 and in full meltdown mode.

The Cubs SHOULD be able to figure it out and win that series, but I swear it seems like going to Arizona ends up in a horsefeathers series for the Cubs more often than not, regardless of how well either team was doing going into it. Someone crunch the numbers on that.

Either way, I always automatically hate it when they go to Arizona because of the late start times and their dumb stadium for jerks.

We actually won the series in Arizona in 2016 and 2017. I'm too lazy to look it up but I just happened to remember those two.

Yeah, but that was when the Cubs were good. This year's team is filled with weak-hitting ninnies.

We might have won the 2016 series in Arizona but we lost Schwarbers knee so it was a net loss. I have absolutely no recollection of the series in Arizona last year

Maddon listened to me. Sat 3 of the big 5 yesterday (Rizzo, Baez, Bryant, Murphy, Zobrist), and sat the other 2 today. If they are still up by at least 1.5 I do the same thing next Wednesday, maybe sitting all 5 out since Heyward and Schwarber should be back and able to play.

The only thing I remember about the AZ series last year is it shortly followed the D-Backs series in Chicago where Goldie hit about 12 home runs and he only hit like 1 in AZ so it was big celebration like Billy Hamilton making outs

joe is incapable of using a basic lineup structure with your best hitters up top with the on base guys in front of the power guys. like, you'd think he'd at least do it every once in a while.
