How much less freaking out would there be if the Cubs had lost one of the games in San Diego, won 3 of 4 against the Padres in Chicago and won 2 of 3 in KC?

First yes, we wish they have been better. But he's been able to use that because they've been the best team in the NL for a few weeks now so they're doing something right (or maybe the NL just isn't that good). It's also mathematically impossible to be 6th in the NL in the next 3-4 days.

pretty big whiff on that gif usage. it's disingenuous because it's a way to make them sound better than they are. typically there would be a team in the league on pace for more than 93-94 wins in august. if they were on pace for 99 wins, he'd just say that. i know he's just using it as a meme, though.

Well Duke, after reading the Craig Edwards tweet about magically changing roughly 7 Cardinals losses into Cardinals wins a few weeks back, I think i've figured it out.

 

Craig Edwards is QAnon. We see the Cubs are leading the division in our reality right now, but that's what the deep state wants you to believe. In real reality, Theo is going to jail for his Resist hat and possible involvement in a slavery ring in Mexico. It will be revealed in time that the Brewers were granted additional wins and we will be stuck looking from the outside in when October rolls around.

 

You'll remember that just a few weeks ago Craig Edwards tweeted that the Cardinals would've been right there in the division race if they had won all the games where they blew saves. This would give the Cardinals 7 more wins. Craig is so good at counteracting the deep state, so he has every twitter account blocked that could be Jed or Theo or anyone with Cubs connections.

 

The Cubs now are at a competitive disadvantage heading into the stretch run, thinking they are leading the division and, in fact, the league. They have no idea what's coming their way. If I am deciphering brewerfan.net correctly we will learn of the additional Brewers wins sometime around September 28th in a Friday news dump.

The fun thing is that if it was some other team, say the Dodgers or something, whose pitching staff was getting double Thanos'd in front of our eyes and their run differential was -300 for the second half, the "EVERYTHING IS FINE" group would be the first ones to jump all over how vulnerable they were.
