Hah Pat and Ron have been talking up Lester’s bunting skills during both his ABs and both times he’s failed in his bunting attempts.

This team is really hitting their stride. A disappointing first half for so many players across the board and we're going to lead the NL in record, runs scored, and runs allowed. Life is good. This team might end up winning 100 games if guys start playing toward their norms in the second half.

I get not wanting to use the same relievers day after day but bases loaded one out is kind of a big spot, even if you’re up 6.

 

I like it. It’s a 5 run lead against a bad team but at the same time it’s sort of a high leverage situation for someone making their third appearance ever. Joe likes to throw new guys in big situations to see how they respond. I might have had a short leash for him though and pulled him after the walk
