I think it’s stupid to use Cishek here but I can’t fault Joe after seeing the dregs Of the bullpen blow or nearly blown gigantic leads

We all knew this potential was in there for Javy, but we just assumed it was if he learned to be a little more patient, stop swinging at bad pitches and started taking walks. He's done none of that and is still going to win MVP.

He's truly in the conversation by the nerd stats too at this point.

For example, fWAR...

Arenado: 3.8

Cain: 3.7

Freeman: 3.5

Realmuto: 3.5

Goldschmidt: 3.5

Baez: 3.4

Add in the fun factor and the things you can't even quantify 100% that he does on a baseball field... I think he'd have a lot of votes. Obviously being able to keep it up to this level with his refusal to walk over 3% of the time will be a problem, but to this point he's worthy of the NL MVP.

Yeah, I don't think he'll keep it up at a level necessary to win it at the end of the year. But, at this point, my biased ass would refuse to vote for anyone else.

Honestly, I wouldn't even highlight the things he says at this point. It's not entertaining, it's quite sad that he has such an unhealthy relationship with sports teams.

Also, Almora's last 2 weeks look exactly like his season line(to the extent it's borderline spooky), so he can't even get things right on a factual basis before spinning it towards anger.

He’s a sad sad man. If this isn’t a shtick, I feed bad for him.

Also his last one is hilarious if I’m reading his intentions right. The bullpen arm that we only brought up because CEJ is on paternity leave and is pitching to contact with a giant lead is getting hit hard so that means we need bullpen help (despite the fact that we have the 4th best bullpen ERA in baseball)

I'm sorry for comparing anyone to r_mack.

On a day the Brewers lost twice, the Cardinals lost and fired their manager, and the Cubs won to move 1.5 games up:

Who is this loser? Geez, is he really upset or is this an act? Like how can you be this upset over a Cubs win?

Also, Hendricks does not suck and he's going return to his normal dominant form after the All-Star break.

Last 3 years (15-17):

Pre-AS break: 3.30 ERA in 259 1/3 innings

Post-AS break: 2.73 ERA in 250 1/3 innings

Last year:

Pre-AS break: 4.09 ERA

Post-AS break: 2.19 ERA
