I haven't been to a hairstylist in about a decade, but I also don't tip my mechanic on an oil change, or a plumber who fixes a leaky pipe.

Power Ranking top 5 Cubs you'd want to have a beer/split a pizza with:

1. Lester

2. Schwarber

3. Javy

4. Happ

5. Heyward

2. ......

3. ......

4. Schwarber

5. Bryant (ginger ale instead of beer, of course)

Happ? Are you horsefeathering kidding me? It would suck to wake up (if you are lucky enough to do so) after being out with him, only to discover you're missing a kidney.

Eh, you got to sit behind Happ out in the bleachers. Completely changed my perspective of him. He was interacting with the fans the whole game, encouraging people to chant his name louder, had a good back and forth going with this one particularly drunk dude the whole time...I think low key he's one of the coolest guys on the team.

That's just his way of cruising for his next victim. "That one didn't cheer loud enough. That one didn't laugh. That drunk one is taking attention away from me. Soon they will all pay and be my slaves in paradise."

I will go down swinging on the absurdity of tipping on haircuts and other instances where you're only paying for a service, but I'm a 20% minimum guy for table service at restaurants.

To the actual point, Rizzo seems most likely to be a bro, which sometimes can come off like being fake or a dick. But it's clear enough that his personality is not an act and that he's not aloof or uncaring either.

Wait, you don't tip your hairstylist? What the horsefeathers is the matter with you?

Yeah, but those guys don't have to make their living based on the insane concept of idiots coming in and vaguely being able to describe how they want their hair cut (if you think your instructions are clear and make perfect sense, stop it; they aren't and they don't). When you think about it, having to cut and style hair just based on what someone says is absurd. Unless you're showing up with a picture of Johnny Unitas in his prime and saying "that's what I want," tip the horsefeathering person who cuts your hair, you cheap bastard.

Willy would fun to have a beer with because there’s a likelihood you end up drinking 20 with him and wind up waking up in Vegas or something crazy

Split a pizza with Carl.

From what we know publicly Carl is super into video games, dinosaurs, and Skittles. I doubt anyone else on the team is anywhere close to as fun to hang out with.

He's not an outsized personality at all, but I'd bet Hendricks would be a totally normal guy to have a beer & pizza with and talk to about a variety of topics.

He's probably too smart for 95% of this board.

Mainly, I just wanted more pizza. But I agree. I can't believe Carl isn't getting more love. Definitely one of the funnest guys on the team.

I'm one of those people that rarely has a "favorite" Cub. I typically really love a random player for some unknown reason (Dave Martinez, Shawon Dunston, back in the day). Sammy was the superstar Cub that was definitely my favorite. And you'd think I'd really love Bryant or Rizzo, or fellow Hoosier great, Kyle Schwarber, more than the rest, but I mostly like them all equally. But I realized talking with my son yesterday that Javy is definitely my favorite Cub at this point.

going back to weirdo GR, that thread is really great because he's in there defending himself like a loon until TT sideswipes him and then he just gives up all hope and bails lol

Tigers just walked in a run to tie the game and are going to extras... 15+ innings wouldn't be bad. Too bad the reliever that blew it in the 9th was the first reliever used.

Who was it that said "I don't dance, I just play baseball" at one of the clinching celebrations? That's the guy I'd hang out with.

ironic that it was his name being forgotten here

I'm a little forgetful sometimes. But Javy would have been my choice anyways.
