I know, extremely dumb question, but why can't I find the Marquee app on my NVIDIA shield in the google play store? I have it on my Roku stick and my android phone thru the google play store. I plan on using the inlaws directtv login as I have Youtube TV which does not carry Marquee as of today.

My money would be one what was probably going to happen pre-Covid... it will happen on opening day.

Yeah, there's an even bigger appreciation for live sports now than there was before. Even if it was iffy whether they'd agree pre Covid (which I doubt) it's a slam dunk now.

I heard CBS lost multiple billions from advertisers when March Madness got scratched. I know for Comcast it's more about carriage fees, but I can't imagine they let any baseball go. Hell even the Dodgers finally got things figured out.

Crane Kenney was interviewed on The Score this morning. Said he expects a deal to get done with Comcast very shortly, possibly even in time for spring training games against the White Sox(!).

I haven't checked for Marquee on my Nvidia Shield, but not all Android apps are available on the Shield. I have run into that before with other apps, where I can use them on my Android phone, but can't download them on the Shield.

MLB.tv is prorating their price to ~$45, with subscribers eligible to either take a refund or apply the difference towards next year’s subscription

I took a refund weeks ago, a decision that apparently cost me about $15 - the price for those that don't already have it is $60. Oh well.

I would advise anyone that doesn't currently have MLB.TV to wait until the day games begin to buy it, just in case they're unable to get the season off the ground.

just use mlbstreams on reddit to find hd streams of cubs games and save your cash for something else.

In case people are still sweating this after Kenney expressed confidence a few weeks back that it would be done.

Marquee blitzing with 'attack ads' against YoutubeTV, nothing reported in regards to any against Comcast yet.

Everytime this thread is bumped without news that Comcast has agreed to carry Marquee, I am going to be bitterly disappointed.

How about they remove the blackout restrictions for Cubs games on MLB.TV until Marquee has their horsefeathers figured out?
Posted
If anyone has Sprint/T-Mobile, you can sign up for MLB.tv for free today. If in Chicagoland, you should be able to use a VPN to bypass the blackout restrictions. F U Comcast/Marquee.

Attack ads against an organization you're trying to negotiate with?

You've never heard of this? It's about trying to get those subscribers to demand it or leave, as to mount pressure.

But how are they supposed to see the ads?

Good question. They'd have to buy airtime or ad space where they think they can target Cubs fans/YTTV subscribers. Normally they just plop it on their own channel, but that's when they're negotiating to keep the rights.
