I'm listening on the radio. How bad was that send?

Edit: Really bad I see

Well Almora was about 43 feet from home plate when Posey caught the ball. Joe, should've challenged.

Butterfield has been fine, that was a bad send. In general I'd rather get thrown out a bit more than leave runs/bases on the table, but that was just too shallow for being thrown out to be anything but an extremely likely outcome.

For anyone who didn't get to see the play, this is as classy a response as you could possibly read.

Yeah overall don’t mind the gamble in general. Seemed overly risky from the radio and bord tho and also he’s gotta be aware how slow Almora is.

It wasn't even much about Almora, Williamson caught the ball on a hop like 20 feet from the infield, the only way a runner faster than Almora scores is if the throw forced Posey to field the ball on a hop two steps wide of the base.

Almora had to hold for a split second anyway after Rizzo hit it. Terrible send. Rizzo did get to second though, and Willson then hit what would have been a 6-4-3 DP

This is always my public service announcement to say that you can't just assume the same pitch, same contact from Willson.
